Reflection on My First Textbook Reading

Tittle: The Marketing Plan. How to Prepare and Implement It by W. Luther. And,
Inside Marketing by Zwick & Cayla
 

 
What is the impact for marketing and advertising as a cultural technology in the community? For this exercise, I focused in two different books, which is all look interesting to me. However, they look a little bit different than each other, which made me expand my uses of metacognitive reading skills. So, to answer that question in one of my books, I focused in the middle of the book, and I have read from page 24 to 85 by using the monitoring strategies by skimming all pages looking for the information which will answer my question. All pages that I focused on were just explanation more about general effects of the advertising on many different countries.
Also, how is it different and how is it similar? After that, they gave expanded facts and they supported with a lot of examples. In the end of the chapter, they presented the strong facts which is answer my question with supporting points and examples. On the other book, I read the same number of pages. However, the organization was different and it use indirect information. Nevertheless, this book uses ambiguous information which is hard to analyze.  Passed on my first experience for this tool I found out how much it is helpful for me and for sure for all of the students. It is really helpful for us as a full time students have a lot to do in little period of time. I used it before, but I did not recognized that it is a real tool in academic area. I count it now as a fundamental tool for me. In short, I really enjoyed reading.
